For 37 years, visionaries and tech pioneers have been descending on Dubai to witness first-hand the technology that has inspired generations and innovations that are set to change the world. GITEX ("Gulf Information Technology Exhibition") is an annual consumer computer and electronics trade show, exhibition, and conference that takes place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Its exhibitions in the Middle East have attracted numerous participants, most notably in 2009 when Microsoft released Windows 7 with 150,019 people present.

This year, one of ALFTech Hub’s incubatees, WardMonitor was selected as one of the participants at the event. The team along 9 other startups represented Nigeria at the exhibition which had about 1000 teams from all over the world. The team, represented by the founder, Oladele Agboola pitched their solution to a panel of judges in a one-on-one session.
The selected teams will be entitled to product development and exposure to big time investors. The whole idea is for product developers to display their work and make it appealing to investors.
The event started on the 8th of October and ended on the 12th of October, 2017.
